Globalization can be summarized as the process of creating a global economic market, which is driven by the premises of free trade. An example of globalization is the fact that the Coca-Cola has established themselves across the globe, Diet Coke can be purchased in rural areas across the globe just as easily as more industrial regions. In regards to the country of Sweden, globalization has had a large impact to the country’s economy.

Technological advancements such as the internet and improved transportation systems have had a positive effect on Sweden’s globalization advancement. As stated above the internet allows users to easily shop for IKEA products online without ever having to step foot into a store. The advancement of shipping methods allows for items to be shipped around the globe in mere days.
Sweden’s economy is heavily involved in free trade operations, which has furthered the advancement of globalization in the country. With the establishment of free trade the Swedish government does not restrict any imports or exports to and from the country, this allows the population of Sweden to experience items from across the globe. For example a person in Sweden can easily purchase an automobile that was manufactured in the United States because the vehicle was created and shipped to a car dealer in Sweden.
